Stay Single is a dating app where people reveal themselves one card at a time. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Your date of birth sets your age and star sign. It is locked after signup so age cannot be changed to misrepresent you. Only staff can correct a genuine mistake, and every correction is recorded in an audit log. We never show your exact date of birth to other people — only your age, and your star sign if you leave it on.
Other members can see your first name, age, neighbourhood, whether you are verified, your photos, your cards, and the details you filled in. They cannot see your email address, your exact date of birth, your coordinates, or your private-layer cards until you have chosen to unlock them.
Only the services required to run the app: our hosting and database provider, an image-safety scanning provider for uploaded media, Apple for push notifications and payments, and an email provider for account emails. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone from harm.
For as long as your account exists. Moderation and safety records may be retained after deletion where we need them to keep other people safe or to meet a legal obligation.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app. This is immediate and permanent: it removes your profile, photos, voice notes, matches and messages. We cannot restore a deleted account. You may also request access to or a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing the address below.
Stay Single is for adults only. You must be 18 or older to create an account. If we learn that someone under 18 has signed up, we remove the account.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your own records is enforced at the database level, and private photos are served only through short-lived signed links. No system is perfect; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting you, we will tell you.
If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app.
