These terms are the agreement between you and Stay Single. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter this agreement, and not barred from using the app under any applicable law. One account per person. You may not use Stay Single if you have previously been removed for violating these terms, or if you are required to register as a sex offender.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Stay Single. The following will result in content removal and, in most cases, permanent removal of your account without warning:
We review reported content and act on it, typically within 24 hours. We may remove content, suspend an account or ban a person permanently at our discretion, and we may report unlawful behaviour to the authorities.
Every profile and conversation has a report option, and you can block anyone at any time from the same menu. Blocking is immediate and mutual: you disappear from each other. Reports go to a moderation queue reviewed by our team. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — in the US, 911.
What you write, record and upload stays yours. You grant us a licence to host, store, resize and display it for the purpose of operating the app, and to retain moderation records as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to share whatever you upload. Uploaded media is scanned automatically and may be held for human review before it appears.
Profiles are revealed one card at a time, and some cards are sealed until certain conditions are met. Sealed content is protected by the server, but nothing shared with another person can ever be guaranteed private — they can still take a screenshot. Share accordingly. Discovery may be limited while your area is still filling up.
Stay Single is free to use. If a paid membership is offered, it is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase, prices are shown before you buy, and subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings, not here, and refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. Paid features never include guaranteed matches or guaranteed attention from anyone.
We do not conduct criminal background checks on members. Photo verification confirms that a person resembles their photos; it does not confirm that they are safe, honest or single. You are meeting strangers. Tell someone where you are going, meet in public first, and trust your instincts. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other people, online and in person.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if we need to protect other people. Sections that should survive termination — content licences for moderation records, disclaimers, and limits of liability — do.
The app is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any other user. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months or twenty-five US dollars.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use Stay Single after a change means you accept it.
